Don’t mess with Muslims

I stand in total awe of the Muslim mind and their sense of right and wrong. Wouldn’t you like to be able to peek inside of their brain and see what is going on in their thought processes?

I suspect that the Muslim upbringing induces schizophrenia

Out of one side of their mouth, they preach peace and that their religion is peaceful. Right Brain?

From the other side of their mouth the Mullah’s incite violence and murder. Left Brain?

Or Vice Versa.

The poor British teacher in Sudan, Ms. Gillian Gibbons, facing 10 days in jail and expulsion from the country for an innocent mistake comes to mind.

The courts are protesting that they are letting her off easy.

Sudanese people are demonstrating outside the courthouse. They want to have her executed.

I stand in awe and total fear of a society and a people that can do this, and somehow rationalize it.

This is not hate speaking. I very seriously believe that they have a mental problem brought on by their religious teaching.

The whole Muslim religion/culture wants to bury those who do not believe as they do. No matter if you are Buddhist, Jew, Hindu, Sikh, Shintoist, Jainist, Rastafarian, or whatever.

How does the rest of the world cultures deal with that big of a disconnect in over a Billion Human Brains.

I don’t know. I do know that I fear for the other side of the Human Race.  How about you?

Be Afraid….Be very Afraid

Folks, if you depend on the internet somehow, maybe to earn a little money, or to blow off steam in a blog, maybe just to get the news of the day, your experience is going to change soon.

Check out this website, let your mind wonder back to High School civics class and slowly read the particulars of this proposed law (it is really expected to pass).
http://thomas.loc.gov/home/gpoxmlc110/h1955_rfs.xml

Remember the Bill of Rights? Kiss a very important part of them goodbye.

Although this law is actually aimed at Muslims, it very easily can be, and probably will be, used against American born WASP’s who don’t agree with the present and future Presidential Administrations, be them Republican or Democrat.

Your beloved internet will have a very important part silenced. The dissenting voices will all be gone in a short time.
The news (bad as the full reporting is now) will be a mere shadow of it’s former self. Expect Broadcast news and Newspapers to follow this demise.

Our government will be able, and you know they will, hide behind this law by a mere mention of secrecy or some such nonsense. No more transparency in government. Government incompetence will easily be hid

The things that this law abrogates, are the very things our forefathers fought and died in the American Revolution for.

Under this law, I will not be able to write this blog that I’m presently typing. You may notice I said “will not” instead of “would not.”

Remember Communist Russia and how dissension, not matter how small, was treated?
Secret detention/prisons….We now have that.
Torture….We have that.
Arrests and indefinite, no trial, imprisonment….We have that.
Spying on all citizens….We have that, and are MUCH better at it.
Think of internet spyders, warrantless wiretaps, training police, firefighters, and medical personel to report any dissenting voices, conversations, etc.. Think of the NSA’s ability to record, and pinpoint, all the phone conversations in the world.

When I tell people that they need to be afraid of this law, the response is usually. “So what, it’s only for the Muslim terrorists. Do you want to protect their rights?”

It dumfounds me. I end up trying to explain to them the principle of the Rule of law and how we are desecrating the American Constitution, our MAIN law of the land. I tell them to listen very closely to the words of the law and think about the Bill of Rights. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

I’m not very optimistic about the future any more. I deeply regret that I am leaving a very different America to my children and grandchildren.

Government to Ban Salt?

November 29, 2007, 11:23 AM PST
the Food and Drug Administration is weighing whether to crack down on plain old table salt, which doctors say is harmful in the quantities many Americans consume.

The government agency will begin to collect experts testimony on the role excess salt in the diet plays in causing high blood pressure, heart disease and strokes.

An increasingly vocal medical community has joined consumer groups (read–Center for Science in the Public Interest) to demand government intervention, and the review could lead to federally imposed limits on the salt content of processed foods such as canned soups, breakfast cereals, that turkey TV dinner, that can of Chef Boyardee, your favorite frozen pizza, hell, maybe even Pizza Hut’s specialty, the cheese and pepperoni.

In a careful response, the food industry has fessed up to a problem, but has called for voluntary solutions rather than government regulation. Yea, we all know how well that works

The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act

Brothers and sisters, I can hardly believe the law that Congress is about to enact. The title is above, and the contents of said law would chill a corpse…

The First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments
in the Bill of Rights have all will all be canceled. It won’t be the illegal end runs around the constitution that is going on now.

It will be codified and on the books–you will NOT be allowed to criticize our government.

You will NO LONGER have some constitutional HUMAN RIGHTS that we and our ancestors have enjoyed (and fought for) for over 230 years. My people have been in this country for 200 years, and it would make me ashamed to face them.

This is changing the constitution from the back door in a way that is, or should be, so illegal that every one of the 300 million people in this country should be descending on our representatives and screaming at them to stop this madness.

Stop and take a minute and think this through. OUR HUMAN RIGHTS we enjoy here in America are going to descend to the level of a number of third world countries. Think of Pakistan, think of Iran, think of Russia, think of Myanmar.

What I am writing right now will be illegal and the GW Bush SS TROOPS (Democrats are in this too) will be able to arrest me. They will be able to take me in custody, never allow me to have a day in court, seize all my assets–no matter how poor I am–torture me, and deny that they even have me in custody.

This is serious people, this is knock on your door in the middle of the night serious, this is not some scare tactic, it is really going to happen… Your Representatives in Washington–Congressmen and Senators–are selling us out–for real.

A quote from Mr. Phillip Giraldi, in The Huffington Post:

“The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act. The Act, which was sponsored by Congresswoman Jane Harman of California, was passed in the House by an overwhelming 405 to 6 vote on October 24th and is now awaiting approval by the Senate Homeland Security Committee, which is headed by Senator Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut. It is believed that approval by the committee will take place shortly, to be followed by passage by the entire Senate.”

” The two Patriot Acts of 2001 and 2006 and the Military Commission Act or 2006 have collectively limited constitutional rights to free speech, freedom of association, freedom from illegal search, the right to habeas corpus, prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment, and freedom from the illegal seizure of private property.”

Trying Linux

Well, the next few days should be interesting. As I write this I am installing Linux on one of my desktop computers. It’s at the far end of my wireless network here at home, so it’s kind of slow downloading.

I picked the Ubuntu distribution, as the website promised easy to install. Since I’m not extremely computer literate, we’ll see about “easy.”

I like the idea behind Linux…i.e. free 🙂 Don’t like the idea behind Microsoft…i.e. the making of the world’s richest man. 😦

Seriously, the idea that hundred or maybe thousands of people around the country or world can make a good living supporting a free operating system sounds better than sending all that money to Seattle or wherever.

Chilling and Orwellian

Surfin’ the blogs today and ran across this one from Yvonne Lindsay’s Weblog and a chill ran up my spine.
I remember reading a few years ago about the possibility of this happening.

Ms.Lindsay’s Blog

Seems the Fed’s really are watching what you read and speak about. And if some slug in the basement of the NSA, CIA, FBI, etc. decides that you’re a little too far out there, they will step in and REALLY mess with your life.

Of course if you don’t have a believable story they can whisk you off somewhere and detain you as long as they want and not have to tell anyone where you are or even if they have you in custody.

It’s happened to American, born free, WASP’s, it can happen to you.

Breaking the law again

An article from the New York Times.
Article
Once again ol’ GW and the GOP are breaking the law and trying to justify it.Paying journalist to make up propaganda for US citizens
Seems like the taxpayer is paying for lies to be spread to our own citizens.

Already Starting

Added the below post just this morning. Skip ahead a few hours and I’m surfing some news sites and come across this London Times article
Times Article

Seems it’s coming a little quicker than I thought.

A pilot program in England is embedding RFID chips in secondary school children’s uniforms to help keep track of them and alert school officials to misbehaving pupils.

Orwell just had the date wrong.

Government: Get it done, or else….

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. – Many hundreds of parents facing a threat of jail, lined up at a courthouse Saturday to either prove that their school-age kids already had their State required vaccinations or see that the youngsters submitted to the needle immediately.

Circuit Court Judge C. Philip Nichols ordered parents to appear at the courthouse on Saturday and either get their children vaccinated, on the spot, or spend up to 10 days in jail. They could also provide proof of vaccination or an explanation why their kids didn’t have them.

Several organizations that are opposed to mass vaccinations demonstrated outside the courthouse. While the medical consensus is that vaccines are safe and effective, some parents and doctors blame immunizations for a rise in autism, ADHD, and other medical problems in young children.

Jut think about it for a minute….Your friendly government telling you that you must have a possibly unsafe substance injected into your child…or go to jail.

I think it won’t be long before the government is telling you that you have to have a RFD tagged ID card (2008) or you can’t travel or walk into Federal buildings. Of course the RFD tagged human body is next.

Just think how much more convenient it will be for law enforcement, Local, State, and Federal Agencies to keep the peace, and keep us safe from “the terrorists.” The RFD’s can be read from a distance. Everyone can be tracked wherever they go, shop, recreate, etc. and it’s all automatically recorded for future scanning if somehow you are close to a “Event.”

Of course the governments all have our best interests at heart, so it will “never” be used in a bad way.
Yea, right…but if you refuse…Jail.
In societies best interests of course.

Amendment to Rant below

I thought I might need to explain something about the post below.

I am not a lawyer, and my interpretation of what’s happening to the Bill of Rights may not be right, but something definitely fishy is going on in American Government.

Is anyone else feeling this?
