About the word of me
Interested in family and friends, grandchildren, photography, darkrooms, history, archaeology, scuba diving, computers, software, fast cars, journalism, writing, travel, ecology, news, science, and probably most other subjects you could think of. Did I mention family and friends?? I require iced tea or cold brewed coffee and a internet connection to be fully functional.
Sometimes there are just so many words in my head they spill out.

It is kind of sad that they can’t get their story straight on whether or not they’re “really creationists.” I remember an interview with William Demsky. He was asked about the science behind ID and he responded with some spiel on the Bible.

Hi Evolution is a Fact,
Creationists have proven to be dumber than dirt. Those that keep spreading the garbage science that they endorse surely can’t be so dumb to keep believing after being shown the errors in their so called ‘science.’ (sigh) but they are.
I have had you on my blogroll for years now…I thoroughly enjoy your site.

‘Creationists have proven to be dumber than dirt.’ (The Word of Me)
The Word of Me,
These and other comments are the sort that show very little empathy for people who are simply misinformed about the facts.
I used to be one of those people, and if you spoke about me like that I’d ignore everything else you’d have to say.
What changed me was the gentle approach, the more informed and less emotional and insulting style that is common among Darwkinsites.
Come on lad, surely you can do better than mocking people.
How’d you like it if you were a Creation Science guy and someone spoke to you like that?
Peace, is a good choice.

Hello Blue Django, I hope you are well.
I generally don’t call creationists dumb when I am ‘talking’ to them on my blog. What I was doing above was ‘talking’ to a compatriot/fellow atheist and letting out the frustration I sometimes feel when talking to a believer in magic.
If you were to read much of my blog posts and replies you would find that I am generally good humored and easy to talk with. I don’t do much name calling at all…even when provoked by unruly respondents.
There is more than one way to reach people and the nicey nice approach doesn’t work with all. I try to get into a honest dialogue with creationists and YEC’s and let them know of the new information that somehow impinges on their beliefs.
