Religion And Politics…Very Scary

I keep hearing that ol’ G.W. was trying to kick start the Apocalypse with invading Iraq

Having a pretty good idea of how the man **thinks…I think the rumor is probably true.

**From watching and listening to him for 8 loooooong years.

“Which page of the Bible is it again where Jesus says “Screw the poor?”

    Matthew 19: 21:
“Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

So the only thing The Left can do is swear and cuss and photo-shop.That’s good to know.

Yeah, it really sucks that the Christians have that kind of power over the country. The only thing we atheists can do is plot the downfall of religion…been around way to long already.

EXACTLY!! That’s why children aren’t allowed to say the name God in the Pledge of allegiance or even mention it in schools. That’s why in schools and businesses you could get fired for being Christian. That’s why people like you prey on us because we’re in control. My thoughts exactly.

Schools are that way because of the constitution.

Never heard of a business that could fire you because you were a Christian. I know people get fired because they are NOT christian.

An person could not get nominated for public office in America without professing to be a Christian. Well there have been 1 or 2 exceptions, but when you consider how many elected positions there are in this country…that.s damn few.

No, the IN crowd in America is definitely Christian, and since they are overwhelmingly represented in politics…they are in control

Well the costitution states the freedom of speech (which means we don’t have to censor our beliefs) and freedom of religion.Strangely it doesn’t say anywhere that we have to censor the name God anywhere. And yes being fired for being a Christian does happen. 1, 2 exceptions. here’s a few: Martin Van Buren, Zachary Taylor, and Chester A. Arthur. Here’s a link:

Also what makes you think that they’re the “IN” crowd?I wish they were beacuse maybe they would do a better job then the Left is doing right now.

I didn’t mean the currant White House resident, I was talking in a general way there. In General,if you are not a Christian in politics you will have a hard time getting elected.

We know that the Republican Party is controlled by the religious right and that no doubt accounts for them going after women and trying to bring them back under control. The Catholics are involved here with the birth control issue, but the evangelical fundamentalists are probably.the leaders.

Basically the Elephants/evangelicals want to align the country with Christian ideals…you know like death to homosexuals, adulterers, fornicators, heretics, blasphemers, anyone who disagrees with their tactics. Instituting mandatory church attendance, belief in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, hatred for followers of other religions. Witch hunts and Inquisitions are sure to be not far behind. Of course bringing in ‘Creation Science’ to science classes in public schools will be a priority, as will bringing back prayers in class I’m sure.

Perhaps you can point me to who is firing Christians for being Christian. I find that fascinating and unreal.

Oh so you mean people like Carl Levin, Al Franken, Barbara Boxer, and Dianne Feinstien? And those are just senators.

Last time I checked Roe vs. Wade made it legal in all 50 states.Maybe if it wasn’t legal these people would learn self-control.

Three things one: you’re mistaking Christianity for Islam.Nowhere in the Bible it says that they can kill anyone. In fact it states the exact opposite. Two: While Christianity clearly states it’s belief in free will Islam on the other hand has no problem killing anyone you listed above. Three: quick fact: do you know that the court system we use today was modeled after the Inquisition?Criminals used to prefer the Inquisition over any other court system because it gave them a fair chance.
