About the word of me
Interested in family and friends, grandchildren, photography, darkrooms, history, archaeology, scuba diving, computers, software, fast cars, journalism, writing, travel, ecology, news, science, and probably most other subjects you could think of. Did I mention family and friends?? I require iced tea or cold brewed coffee and a internet connection to be fully functional. Sometimes there are just so many words in my head they spill out.

Where’s the “BEEF”? What known facts. Honey, Evolution has no real evidence.

  2. Lisa Grenn says:

I like your analysis “word of me”. Count me among the “enlightened”, as well!! Also, religion should never, ever, ever be exempt from criticism!

Wow all that hard evidence!! I’m convinced!!

  4. the word of me says:

Yeah, I know how creationists are.

That they have evidence and ask evolutionists to provide some evidence to support their own case yet evolutionists have none but insist that there’s no discussion that they have proven evolution?Yeah, me too.

        Typical evangelical fundamentalist crap.

The Fact of evolution has been settled for over a hundred years. The ONLY ones who challenge it are evangelical fundamentalists

And then ONLY because it conflicts with their religious views.

“The Fact of evolution has been settled for over a hundred years.”

Then why do you feel that you still need to prove it to these evangelical fundamentalists?Who cares what they think! Why do you care what they think?unless…evolution isn’t a fact and there’s yet things you can’t prove.Maybe evolution can’t be proven completely? No that can’t be it can it?

Trying to keep that spark from the human Enlightenment alive. The Dark Ages was a terrible time for the human spirit and freedom

    • Anonymous says:

Sorry, Darwin came AFTER the Dark Ages

      • the word of me says:

I know when Darwin’s time was. What I am saying is that the enlightenment mostly put an end to churches/religions domination of human society and the human spirit. The Dark Ages was very roughly 500-1500 AD when the Catholic Church reigned supreme.

The 1500’s and Luther’s break from the Catholics was a seminal event that started the Enlightenment./Renaissance. The spirit of Democracy was awakened and intellectual freedom and freedom of expression came to the forefront. If one was very careful he could express doubts about the dominant social/religious order without being killed

Lately the evangelical fundamentalists have started to takeover in politics and try and legislate their religious preferences over our country. I have mentioned their targets in other replies to you.

I find this really disturbing and will do whatever I can to put a stop to it. The people who started this country had the right idea…total separation of church and state.

Besides all of that, religion is a con. It is pure fiction and more and more of it is being proven wrong

If your talking about being burned at the stake or being beaten to death and trying to use this to blame the Church on what happened you should know that the Church disproved of these acts and tried to stop them. And if or when they did approve it was a very rare case and if they killed people all the time why didn’t they kill Luther? He was one of the most dangerous to the Faith yet they didn’t kill him. Also do you know Luther was mentally deranged? Yeah sorry your ‘Enlightenment’ was started by a mental. Just FYI.
