Air Force users who try to view the websites of the New York Times, Britain’s Guardian, Spain’s El Pais, France’s Le Monde, or German magazine Der Spiegel instead get a page that says, “ACCESS DENIED. Internet Usage is Logged & Monitored,” according to a screen shot reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. The notice warns that anyone who accesses unauthorized sites from military computers could be punished. Wall Street Journal
Beverly LaHaye, wife of evangelical Christian minister and writer Tim LaHaye, and her group of Concerned Women for America, has said:
“Christian values should dominate our government. The test of those values is the Bible. Politicians who do not use the Bible to guide their public and private lives do not belong in office.”
You should note that using the Bible as a guide would automatically exclude anyone, other than Christian believers, from access to equal representation in America.
Somehow this sounds a little un-American, but I have come to expect this from Christian’s. Just like Muslims, they want everyone to convert to their beliefs and will lock out and demonize any who believe otherwise.
I keep hearing some crap about Atheists having no respect for religion and always being on the attack against Christians…I think I understand now…they are simply trying to uphold American values and keep the American government free and with equal treatment for those who fall outside the norm of White Anglo Saxon Protestant Christians.
Remember whenever you hear or read anything about atheists speaking up, they are just exercising their right to disagree, and the Christians are about 10 times more vocal, in-your-face, and much much scarier when you understand what they want for yours and my country.
Remember, both Christianity and Islam want to totally rule your life, tell you what to do, how to act, and who to sleep with. And they WILL get into your bedroom and rule your body if given half a chance.

A law that’s been on American books (and in the Constitution) forever is now biting the dust because of Presidents Bush and Obama. Breaking his campaign promises to enhance civil liberties in relation to national security the Obama administration is continuing the screwing over the American Constitution that Bush started.
“The Obama administration is seeking to make it easier for the FBI to compel companies to turn over records of an individual’s Internet activity without a court order if agents deem the information relevant to a terrorism or intelligence investigation.
The administration wants to add just four words — “electronic communication transactional records” — to a list of items that the law says the FBI may demand without a judge’s approval. Government lawyers saythis category of information includes the addresses to which an Internet user sends e-mail; the times and dates e-mail was sent and received; and possibly a user’s browser history. It does not include, the lawyers hasten to point out, the “content” of e-mail or other Internet communication.” From the Washington Post.
The use of National Security Letters is equivalent to the old ‘Writs of Assistance’ the British used against us here in America in pre-revolutionary times
From Wikipedia
“In practice, customs writs of assistance served as general search warrants that did not expire, allowing customs officials to search anywhere for smuggled goods without having to obtain a specific warrant. These writs became controversial when they were issued by courts in British America in the 1760s, especially the Province of Massachusetts Bay. Controversy over these general writs of assistance inspired the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which forbids general search warrants in the United States.
The NSL’s are the modern equivalent to general search warrants which are constitutionally forbidden. Good luck on getting the administration to admit this. 😦 The American government just keeps pushing the envelope regarding how much the citizens will put up with. I think the general feeling among top officials is that they can get away with pretty much anything…if they mention terrorism.

The Catholic Church faces a real conundrum; on the one hand they do accept much of evolution and the things that it implies. They do accept that much of the Old Testament is nothing but allegory, the Noachian Flood was not real, the earth (and universe) is billions of years old…not 6000, etc.. These tales […]
The things that the Reverend Barber is railing against here are the favorite projects of the Republican Party nowadays. They do not help America anymore, they are destroying it piece by piece. “It is extreme and immoral to suppress the right to vote,” It is extreme and immoral to deny Medicaid for millions of poor […]
“. . .because all the major religions in fact blaspheme one another, and ought by their principles to engage in crusade or jihad each against the others – a profoundly disturbing thought. They blaspheme each other in numerous ways. All non-Christians blaspheme Christianity by their refusal to accept the divinity of Christ, because in […]

The latest moral crisis to ruffle the feathers of both the common man and celebrities is the recent leaks regarding the NSA’s surveillance programs. Under Section 215 of the Patriot Act, the agency is given the power to collect Americans’ phone metadata in bulk, and not even the rich and powerful are immune. Read more at: […]

British cardiologist Aseem Malhotra writes in a stinging “Observations” column in the British Medical Journal): Virtually all the truths about preventing heart attacks that physicians and patients have held dear for more than a generation are wrong and need to be abandoned, Malhotra writes. He musters a passel of recent research that suggests that the “obses […]
We live in the golden era of surveillance; every phone is designed to be tapped, the Internet passes through snooping equipment of agencies that are so vast and unaccountable that we hardly know their bounds. Corporations are forced (though some are willing enough!) to hand over our data and data of those whom we love. […]
