BBC news Europe is reporting on another Catholic scandal. I think we can now safely assume that the Catholic Church employees are molesting young children all over the world. And probably ever since the church was formed well over a thousand years ago
If you’re Catholic don’t let your children out of your sight while in your church. You might want to consider leaving the Catholic Church altogether. They are definitely not the Holy Place you thought they were.
“The report estimates that 10,000-20,000 minors were abused in the care of Catholic institutions between 1945 and 1981, when the number of Church-run homes dropped. In the years between 1981 and 2011, several more thousands suffered at the hands of priests and others working for the Church.”
That’s an amazing number of children abused. I guess up there near the Arctic Circle they don’t have much else to do.
And, once again it was not the church revealing the culprits…it was an independent commission investigating complaints against the church.
“A new series of reports into Irish Catholic dioceses on Wednesday revealed horrific child sex abuse by priests and mistakes by Roman Catholic Church authorities in dealing with them.
Some of the cases detailed by the Church’s own child protection watchdog occurred as recently as August 2010, and the Irish republic’s Minister for Children Frances Fitzgerald warned that still more abuse could be revealed.”
The story of Catholic priest’s sexually assaulting young boys (primarily) just keeps on giving. So far the Irish seem to have the record for the most, and the most horrific, treatment of young human males in modern times…and I’ll bet they would also hold the same record in olden times too. The Catholic Church has almost always been ‘misbehavin’, in many ways, throughout its long history. That they still have members is a miracle.
Right now I’m wondering how far this college child sex scandal will go…
How long, I wonder, is this going to last? Over time, more and more evidence shows up that the Catholic Church is evil incarnate and yet it still it stands and tries to throw the wool over your eyes and pretend it has the infallible word of God on its side. They say they are the only true religion of Christ, the only way to Heaven…I don’t think I would want to go to their Heaven, and I don’t believe they have the ear of God or Christ or anybody.
12-03-2010 “Germany’s Catholic Church systematically covered up cases of sexual abuse within its own ranks for several decades, according to an expert study commissioned by the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising.
The lawyer heading up the investigation, Marion Westpfahl, said at a press conference on Friday that the available records pointed to huge gaps in the documentation between 1945 and 2009. She added this hinted strongly at a “systematic system of cover-up,” in which few abuse cases were criminally prosecuted.
“Only 26 priests were convicted for sexual offences,” Westpfahl explained to reporters, saying she found 365 files containing evidence that “acts of abuse had taken place in an almost commonplace manner.”
“We have to assume that there is a large unknown number [of abuse cases],” she said. “We are dealing with the extensive destruction of files.”
The incriminating evidence Westpfahl found among 13,200 available files implicated 159 priests, 15 deacons, 96 religion teachers and six pastoral employees, with rural areas particularly affected.
The victims’ suffering often remained a mystery, she said, as the reports usually discussed abuse in coy euphemisms.” My emphasis
Systematically covered up cases of sexual abuse it says, just one a few hundred more notches on the body of evidence that the Catholic Church is a criminal enterprise…and has been one for a very very long time. How long are parishioners of this evil organization going to believe in it and accept that the Church has any kind of moral authority over them?

The Catholic Church just can’t seem to get it together
The news is slowly leaking out…the Roman Catholic Church in Italy is being accused of harboring and hiding pedophile priests.
Speaking through an interpreter, 59 year old Alessandro Vantini spoke of when he was a boy in a Catholic run institute for the deaf and priests abused him so relentlessly he came to feel he was dead. He said it happened night after night, sometimes in the priests bedroom, sometimes in the bathroom, sometimes even in the confessional.
This year something very unusual for Italy happened; Vantini and dozens of other former students went public with claims that they were abused by priests. For many, many years a culture of secrecy has surrounded priestly abuse in Italy where the church is considered the country’s most respected institution.
Of the 67 victims that came forward in the school for the deaf case, 14 of them wrote sworn statements and filmed testimony that detailed the abuse they suffered at the school’s two campuses in Verona. They named 24 priests, lay religious men, and religious brothers.
Vantini said he was silent for years about being raped.
“How could I tell my papa that a priest had sex with me?’’ Vantini, 59, said about the abuse he endured. “You couldn’t tell your parents because the priests would beat you.’’
The Associated Press has keep count of cases and they report that there are 73 cases of alleged sexual abuse by priests against minors in the past decade, with a total of more than 235 victims so far.
According to the AP information, the Italian Catholic Church has had to pay only a few hundred thousand dollars in civil damages to the Italian victims; compare that with $2.6 billion in abuse-related costs for the American dioceses or $1.5 billion due to victims in Ireland. The Italian church does not seem willing to release the numbers of cases reported or of court settlements in that country.
In the United States we have about 44,000 priests in our nation of 300 million people. Over 4,000 Catholic clergy have been accused of pedophilia since the 1950’s. I’ll bet you this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Rev. Joseph J. Guido, a psychology professor at Providence College, surveyed superiors of a Catholic religious order and found that 83 percent of the North American superiors reported being aware of an accusation of sexual abuse against one or more of their priests. In contrast, 43 percent of superior America and the Caribbean reported being aware of such an accusation. Only one-third of the superiors in Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America. In ‘America’ magazine, a Jesuit weekly, Guido wrote that research suggests … that the sexual abuse of children is a problem for the church everywhere.” However, he wrote that, outside North America, the religious order superiors were more likely to be aware of sexual misconduct by priests with adults, rather than with minors. In Italy few dare to criticize the Roman Catholic Church, including the mainstream independent and state-run media. Also there is a certain prudishness in small-town Italy, where one just doesn’t speak about sex, much less sex between a priest and a young child.
Now I’ve been told that the Catholic Church is not alone in cases of sexual abuse and pedophilia, and certainly there is much pedophilia in the secular world, and I know that secular schools have the problem too, but it seems to me the cases you hear the most about in the secular schools are Men on Girls or Women on Boys, not almost exclusively Men on Boys. You wonder if the priests involved are members of NAMBLA or its international offspring IOMBLA.
Nor is the Protestant church immune to sexual misconduct, but again it is almost always Men on Women or Men on Girls; very little of the homosexual misconduct. We all know that homosexual people are targets of most evangelical fundamentalist churches wrath and rage, and if you study your Bible you know there is strong condemnation of homosexuality, in fact they are condemned to death by God, which is strange when you realize, if you believe in God, that God made the homosexual just as he made the heterosexual. They too are his children.
The Church, Catholic or otherwise, are the ones pushing the belief that homosexuality is Baaad. The Church should be the ones who don’t have the problem because it’s in their scripture…you lay with the wrong sex—you die. I wonder if these priests think that if they are contrite and ask for forgiveness they will get it.

Catholics and Protestants have both called on God as they killed each other in England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Russia, Switzerland, Austria, Bohemia, Netherlands and probably most other countries to some degree.
And then there are the Jews…Catholics and Protestants have, for two thousand years, been rooting for the death of Jews individually and as a race. Jesus killers that they are.* Hitler with the unspoken consent of the Catholic and Protestant population of Germany tried his best to wipe them out.
And then there are the ancient Hebrews fighting and killing those sinners that God pointed out to them and sanctioned the death of…including women, children, and babies.
Do any religious people stop and think that maybe a real God would not do-or-sanction this kind of behavior…ever?
Where is the God in all of this?
What are the ministers and priests who abuse children in the name of God thinking?
What are the Bishops, Archbishops, and Cardinals thinking when they try to hide evidence that their Godly religion is pure evil? Do you think that the pedophiles of the church are just a recent thing and restricted to just the USA?
What are the Religious leaders of the world (Muslims, Christians, and Jews) thinking when they tell us that people of different sexual persuasion should be killed? Well maybe the ones that prey on children.
What is keeping the people of this world believing in a sky spirit that is so obviously evil and anti-human? This is not an argument about free will…this is an argument against a false God…a fake God…a God that can’t seem to make its followers God-like or humble or good, if it does exist. Do you think you should support a God that gives you no advantage for following him, or that never answers prayers?
